Harare, Jan 1: For the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka, which starts on January 6, 2024, Zimbabwe on Monday announced two 15-member squads.

Craig Ervine, Zimbabwe’s standout batsman, is set to lead the ODI team, leveraging his valuable experience, after being absent from the Ireland series in December.

In the T20I format all-rounder Sikandar Raza will lead the team.

Veteran Zimbabwe star all-rounder Sean Williams will be missing from both the ODI and T20I squads as he couldn’t recover in time from an injury.

The series will commence with three ODIs scheduled for January 6, 8, and 11, followed by three T20Is taking place from January 14 to 18.

In Colombo, the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium will host all of the games for both series.

T20I squad: Sikandar Raza (c), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Craig Ervine, Joylord Gumbie, Luke Jongwe, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Clive Madande, Wellington Masakadza, Carl Mumba, Tony Munyonga, Blessing Muzarabani, Ainsley Ndlovu, Richard Ngarava, Milton Shumba.

ODI squad: Craig Ervine (c), Faraz Akran, Ryan Burl, Joylord Gumbie, Luke Jongwe, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Clive Madande, Wellington Masakadza, Tapiwa Mufudza, Tony Munyonga, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba
