Jamshedpur, Sept 16: Tata Power’s Chief Financial Officer, Sanjeev Churiwala, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘CFO of the Year’ 2024-25 award by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The recognition was conferred at the 4th CII CFO Excellence Awards in Hyderabad, graced by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu and industry stalwarts.
Churiwala was celebrated for his exceptional leadership in mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and building Tata Power’s comprehensive green energy platform.

A chartered accountant with an Executive MBA from London Business School, he brings over three decades of expertise in financial transformation, governance, and long-term value creation.
Under his leadership, Tata Power has fortified its financial resilience, accelerated digital transformation in finance, and aligned its capital strategy with the company’s clean energy vision.
The CII CFO Excellence Awards are considered among India’s most respected honours for finance leaders, judged on governance, innovation, sustainability, digitalization, and ethics.
