Tata Power launches sports excellence training for 4,000 students in Jojobera

Jamshedpur, Jan 16: Tata Power, one of India’s largest integrated power companies, as part of its steadfast commitment to community development, has set in motion a specialized sports initiative aimed at fostering athletic excellence and promoting physical fitness among 4,000 government school students at Jojobera in the outskirts of Jamshedpur.

Professional training and Annual Sports Utsav

The program seeks to transform the sports landscape in the region by providing quality coaching, facilitating interschool competitions, and nurturing young talents for future success.

Through this initiative, students are receiving professional training in football, kho-kho, kabaddi, and athletics under the mentorship of qualified coaches.

Tata Power will host an Annual Sports Utsav to provide a platform for the students to showcase their athletic talents.

The program has so far yielded impressive results, with several participants showcasing exceptional talent in district-level competitions.

Sports equipment provided to students

This initiative seamlessly integrates with broader government-led programs like Khelo India, connecting young talents to regional and national platforms, opening up a plethora of opportunities for them.
