New Delhi, Feb 14: Tejas Dhirenbhai Karia was sworn in as a Judge of the Delhi High Court on Friday, with Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay administering the oath in a ceremony held on the court premises.
The event was attended by all sitting judges of the Delhi High Court, bar leaders, numerous advocates, and Karia’s family members.

His appointment was finalized after the Central government issued a notification on February 12, 2025, approving the new judicial appointments.

This decision followed the Supreme Court Collegium’s recommendation from August of the previous year, which had proposed Karia, a practising advocate, for elevation to the Delhi High Court bench.
