Ansari’s son demands postmortem by AIIMS Delhi doctors
Mukhtar Ansari’s son Umar Ansari said that he has submitted a letter requesting that doctors at AIIMS, Delhi, conduct the postmortem.
“It (post-mortem) is their procedure. I have written a letter saying that it should be done by doctors at AIIMS Delhi. We don’t trust the medical system, government and administration here…You know why I am saying this…Panchnama is done. District Magistrate has to make a decision. Let’s see what he decides,” he stated.
“We hope that the court will help investigate the suspicions that we are expressing. We will consult our legal team. We are confident that this is not a natural death but an orchestrated murder,” he further stated.
Mukhtar was sentenced to 10 year in jail for murder
An MP-MLA court found Mukhtar Ansari guilty in April 2023 of killing BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. In a case involving the use of falsified paperwork to obtain a weapons license in 1990, he was found guilty on March 13, 2024, and given a life sentence.
