PINAKI MAJUMDAR
Jamshedpur, May 11: A chilling case of triple murder has rocked Jamshedpur after three members of a family were found brutally slain inside their home in the Agrico area on Monday. Police have named the head of the family, a retired Tata Steel employee, as the prime suspect.
The incident came to light at Quarter L-13 on Road No. 2 under the Sidhgora police station area, where police recovered the bodies of Sarita Singh (55), her daughter Supriya Singh (31), and son Ravishek Kumar (30).
Supriya, who was married, was reportedly pregnant.

Retired Tata Steel Employee Suspected
Investigators suspect that Ravindra Prasad Singh, husband and father of the victims, carried out the killings before fleeing the scene. Police teams have launched an intensive manhunt to trace and arrest him.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the victims were attacked with a sharp-edged weapon. While local sources claimed an axe may have been used, police are yet to officially confirm the weapon involved.
Accused Allegedly Alerted Police After Crime
In a disturbing development, sources said the accused allegedly called the police himself shortly after the killings to inform them about the incident.
Acting on the information, police rushed to the residence, sealed the house and began collecting forensic evidence from the crime scene.
The gruesome discovery triggered shock and panic in the Agrico neighbourhood, where residents gathered in large numbers as news of the murders spread.
Family Reportedly Faced Internal Tensions
Neighbours said Ravindra Prasad Singh had retired from Tata Steel in February this year. Though the family was believed to be dealing with internal tensions, residents said nobody had anticipated such a horrific incident.
Police are questioning neighbours and relatives as part of the investigation, while forensic experts are expected to assist in examining evidence collected from the house.
Raids are underway at multiple locations to locate the accused.
The brutal murders have left the steel city stunned and once again drawn attention to the devastating consequences of unresolved domestic conflict.
