Two DPS Ranchi alumni crack UPSC civil services exam

Ranchi, April 19: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, is aglow with pride as two alumni, Rishabh Dev and Prerna Singh, have qualified for the Civil Services Examination 2024 with respectable ranks. 

Rishabh gets 167th rank

Rishabh, a member of the 2015 batch, secured a rank of 167, while Prerna, a member of the 2013 batch, achieved a rank of 271.

A graduate in BA-LL. B (Hons) from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, Rishabh’s journey to success is a testament to his perseverance and determination.

Prerna gets 271st rank

With her stellar performance, Prerna Singh has added another feather to DPS Ranchi’s cap. Having completed her graduation in Sociology from Miranda House, Delhi University, and post-graduation in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Prerna has a rich academic background. Before success in the UPSC examination, she showcased her skills in the corporate sector, serving as an HR professional at Vedanta Mining Company in Balco, Chhattisgarh.

In a moment of pride and inspiration for aspiring civil servants, Rishabh Dev and Prerna Singh addressed the students of Classes IX to XII at DPS Ranchi. They shared their experiences, insights, and tips for success in the UPSC examinations, motivating the students to pursue their dreams with dedication and perseverance.

Principal Dr Ram Singh hails achievers

Expressing his joy and admiration for the achievers, Dr Ram Singh, the Principal of DPS Ranchi, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Rishabh Dev and Prerna Singh on their remarkable achievements. He remarked, “It gives me immense pleasure to witness such outstanding performances from our alumni. “Rishabh and Prerna have made DPS Ranchi proud and inspired aspiring students with their achievements,” he said.
