Poonch, Jan 31: The Indian Army reported that two terrorists have been neutralized in an ongoing gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch sector.
The encounter began on Thursday night after detecting terrorist movement along the Line of Control (LoC).
Alert troops quickly engaged the infiltrators, resulting in a fierce firefight that lasted through the night. As the operation continued, two terrorists were eliminated.

The army has recovered several weapons and war-like stores during their search of the area.

In a post on X Indian Army’s White Knight Corps said, “Terrorist movement was detected last night at the #LineofControl in #Poonch sector. Alert troops swiftly engaged the infiltrating #terrorists, triggering an intense & heavy firefight. The #operation continued through the night, leading to the neutralization of two terrorists . The search of the area thus far has resulted in the recovery of number of weapons and war-like stores. Operations continue.”
The operation remains in progress, and further details are awaited.
