UMU Ranchi, BIT Mesra sign MoU to boost education, research collaboration

THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Ranchi, Feb 3: Usha Martin University, Ranchi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, research, innovation, and academic exchange.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr S. P. Verma, Registrar, Usha Martin University, and Dr S. Das, Registrar, BIT Mesra. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. B. N. Sinha, Dean (Academics), UMU, and Prof. Raju Poddar, Dean, Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (DRIE), BIT Mesra.

Joint Research, Internships, and Academic Programmes Planned

Under the agreement, both institutions will collaborate on joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programmes, internships, curriculum development, and the organisation of seminars, workshops, and academic conferences.

Prof. B. N. Sinha said the partnership would enhance academic strength and provide students and faculty with access to quality research and skill-oriented learning. Prof. Raju Poddar noted that the MoU would promote knowledge sharing and innovation, supporting national goals in research and technological advancement.

Boost to Regional and National Academic Growth

The collaboration is expected to improve research output, academic excellence, and industry relevance, contributing to the overall development of Jharkhand and the country.
