Ranchi, July 22: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that work should not be done just for show but people should get its benefits for a long time.

“Our government is making schemes with this thinking. We plan to empower people and their future generations,” he said and added that only when the people of the state are empowered, our society and state will progress.

The chief minister was addressing the inauguration ceremony of schemes, foundation stone laying and asset distribution among the beneficiaries organized at Rajmahal in Sahibganj district today.

Grid Sub-Station inaugurated

Thereafter, Soren also inaugurated the 132/33 kV Grid Sub-Station (Barhet) and 132 kV (Pakur-Rajmahal) double path LILO transmission line and participated in the inauguration-foundation stone laying and asset distribution programme of various schemes organized at Singa Maidan under Barhet block of Sahibganj district.

The chief minister said there are immense possibilities for development in Jharkhand. “Our government has added many dimensions in this direction and work is being done to add many new dimensions. The welfare schemes of the government are reaching the people. We are moving forward with full strength towards strengthening the infrastructure,” he said.

Women between 21 and 50 years to get honorarium

The chief minister said that the state government has decided to give an honorarium to women between 21 and 50 years. “For this, special camps will be set up across the state very soon to take applications from the beneficiaries. We are working with the resolve to empower the women of the state,” he added.

All-round development of Jharkhand

The chief minister said that our government is fully committed to the all-round development of the state. “Whatever schemes and policies our government is making, every section and class of society is getting their benefits. With the cooperation of all of you, we will make this state so strong that we will not have to depend on anyone,” he said.

Gift of various development schemes

On this occasion, the chief minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 34 development schemes worth about Rs 88.84 crore. This includes the foundation stone of 31 schemes worth about Rs 86.80 crore and the inauguration of three schemes. At the same time, in the programs organized in Rajmahal and Barhet, assets worth more than Rs 38.80 crore were distributed among 10 thousand 141 beneficiaries to empower them.

Many officials including Rajmahal MP Vijay Kumar Hansda, BJP MLA Anant Ojha, and Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar were present among others.
