New Delhi, Jan 25: YSRCP leader V Vijaysai Reddy resigned from the Rajya Sabha on Saturday, citing personal reasons. He handed over his resignation to Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar in person.
Reddy later informed the media that although he had three and a half years remaining in his six-year Rajya Sabha term, he decided to resign for personal reasons which the Rajya Sabha Chairman accepted.

Yesterday, Vijayasai Reddy posted on ‘X’, saying that he is retiring from politics and had no intention of joining any political party and that his resignation was not driven by the desire for another position, benefits, or money. He also highlighted that the decision was completely personal and made without any pressure or influence.

He clarified that despite his political differences with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), he has no personal issues with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu or his family.
