2582 women apply for Rs 1000 on Day 1 under Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana

Ranchi, August 3: As many as 2582 women applied today to get Rs 1000 every month under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana, launched by Chief Minister Hemant Soren yesterday.

Due to the slow network in uploading the applications, some technical difficulties were faced which have been removed.

Women between 21 and 50 years are eligible

Addressing a press conference, Secretary of Women, Child Development and Social Security Department Manoj Kumar said that the benefit of this scheme will be given to women between 21 years and 50 years.

Under the Mainiyaan scheme, the government will give Rs 1000 per month to every woman.

The Secretary said that work is being done in mission mode to cover women under the Mainiyaan scheme. About 50 lakh women in the state will be able to benefit from this scheme.

He said camps are being organised at the district level to make the scheme successful. For this, orders have been given to DSWO, ADSS, and CDPO of all the districts at the departmental level. The portal of this scheme has been prepared by JAP IT.

Verification will be done through the portal only

Manoj Kumar said that the application will be verified only through the portal prepared by JAP IT. He noted that 36,000 hits have been received in the portal in just one hour and about 15 lakh hits have been received in a day.

“Therefore, we hope that the Mainiyaan scheme will also prove to be an effective step in the upliftment of the women of the state,” he said.

Kumar said that camps are being set up in all the districts of the state and about 800-1000 people are coming to each camp. “Also, an awareness chariot was dispatched on August 2 to create awareness about this scheme in each district. Monitoring is being done at the departmental level under the guidance of the chief minister,” he pointed out.

Who will get the benefit?

Giving information, the Secretary said that the benefit of the Mainiyaan scheme will be given to those women between 21 years to 50 years old who are not taking benefit of any other pension scheme.

“To take advantage of the Mainiyaan Samaan Yojana, it is necessary to have an Aadhar card, ration card, EPIC card, Aadhar-linked bank account and to be a resident of Jharkhand. Application forms are available online and applications can be submitted for August through the portal from August 21.

Additional Secretary of the Department  Abhay Nandan Ambasht, Director Shashi Prakash Jha, Assistant Director Priyanka Srivastava, Assistant Director Shatrunjay Kumar, JAP IT Niranjan Kumar, Anupam from CAC were present in the press conference.
