Jamshedpur, Nov 26: The three-day diamond jubilee celebration of MGM Medical College concluded here today.
The momentous event saw the participation of Madhu Chopra, mother of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra along with numerous specialist doctors from across India and other countries.
MGMCH website launched
The celebration’s highlight was launching the website www.mgmmedicalcollege.com at Sakchi Eye Hospital today, along with the formation of an organising committee.

Celebrating six decades of medical excellence the Diamond Jubilee celebration was coordinated by the alumni of MGM Medical College.
750 doctors from India, UK, USA, Japan, Australia, Dubai, Canada present
” This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that saw the participation of alumni members – about 750 from India, UK, USA, Japan, Australia, Dubai and Canada. Everyone enjoyed, and a sense of camaraderie prevailed. The former students who all are now senior doctors also exchanged ideas during the three-day celebration,” said Dr Mrityunjay Singh, a senior alumni member and chairman of the media committee.
The three-day celebration was filled with fun, excitement, and opportunities to relive the MGM days with fellow alumni.
The organizing committee worked tirelessly to ensure the successful conduct of the event, he said.
The celebrations took place in different locations throughout Jamshedpur.
The event on the first day was hosted at the Beldih Golf Course.
Event at Dimna lake
The second day’s festivities took place at the MGM Medical College campus, Dimna Lake, and the Beldih Golf Course.
Today, the final day’s programme was held at Hotel Ramada in Bistupur followed by a grand lunch.
” Famous doctors of the country and the world who studied in MGM Medical College decades ago remembered the old days of their college. It was a memorable event,” said Dr Santosh Gupta, a cardiac specialist.
Among the participants 40 were NRIs, who are treating patients abroad, he added.
