44 police personnel including 7 IPS officers to be honoured on Republic Day in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Jan 23: Seven IPS officers, including Prabhat Kumar, AV Homkar, Anjani Jha, and Anoop Birthare, are among 44 police personnel who will be honoured on January 26.

Among them, 23 officers will receive the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, six will be awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry, and 15 will be honoured with the Union Home Minister’s Special Operation Medal.

These awards will be presented by the Jharkhand Governor during a ceremony at Morhabadi. The DGP office has issued an official order regarding this.

23 to get Police Medal for Meritorious Service

23 individuals will receive the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, including IPS officers Prabhat Kumar and AV Homkar. Other recipients include Surendra Kumar Singh, Manoranjan Kumar Singh, Hemant Kumar Baitha, Sikandar Rai, Jalha Oraon, Nazir Hussain, Jitlal Nayak, Ravindra Kumar Singh, Sachin Subba, and Raju Singh Chettri.

The list also features Parvez Alam, Etwa Oraon, Jeevan Jyotish Tirkey, Santosh Kumar, Bhimlal Mahato, Taramani Tete, Chakradhar Kumar Mahato, Silvester Kerketta, Kavita Vivek, Ram Bahadur, and Anil Kumar Das.

These officers and personnel are being recognized for their exemplary contributions to the police force and their commitment to public service.

6 to get Police Medal for Gallantry

Six individuals will be awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry in recognition of their courageous service. The recipients include Jitendra Kumar, Sudhir Kumar, Shailendra Kumar Singh, Manoj Kumar, Kundan Kumar, and Nitesh Kumar Singh.

These officers have demonstrated exceptional bravery and dedication in the line of duty, earning this prestigious honour for their outstanding contributions to maintaining public safety and security.

15 to get Union Home Minister Special Operation Medal

15 individuals will be honoured with the Union Home Minister’s Special Operation Medal for their distinguished contributions during critical operations. The recipients include IPS officers AV Homkar, Raj Kumar Lakra, Anoop Birthare, Anjani Jha, Shivani Tiwari, and Anjani Anjan.

Other awardees are ASP Vivekanand Singh, Gautam Kumar, Jameel Ansari, Manohar Ram, Rajkumar Oraon, Ratan Kumar Yadav, Kamlesh Kumar, Satyendra Kumar Singh, and Vishnu Shankar.

These officers and personnel have showcased remarkable dedication and efficiency in handling special operations, earning this prestigious recognition.
