New Delhi, June 1: The Election Commission (ECI) reported on Saturday that voter turnout for the seventh and final round of polling for the Lok Sabha elections across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, was 49.68 per cent as of 3 pm.
Jharkhand leads the voter turnout charts, according to the ECI, with 60.14 per cent of votes cast till 3 pm.
As of 3 p.m., voter turnout during the seventh phase of polling was recorded as follows: 42.95 per cent in Bihar, 52.61 per cent in Chandigarh, 49.77 per cent in Odisha, 46.38 per cent in Punjab, 46.83 per cent in Uttar Pradesh, 58.46 per cent in West Bengal, and 58.41 per cent in Himachal Pradesh.

Till 1 pm, voter turnout of 40.09 per cent was recorded in 57 Lok Sabha seats of seven states and one union territory on Saturday.

Voting underway on 57 seats in 7 states and 1 UT
In the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voting has been going on since 7 am amid tight security in 57 Lok Sabha seats of seven states and one union territory.
The 57 Lok Sabha seats include one seat from the union territory of Chandigarh, all 13 seats from Punjab, four from Himachal Pradesh, 13 from Uttar Pradesh, nine from West Bengal, eight from Bihar, six from Odisha and three from Jharkhand.
Three seats of Jharkhand, namely Dumka, Rajmahal, and Godda are voting today.
904 candidates in fray, 10.06 crore eligible voters
A total of 904 candidates are in the fray for 57 Lok Sabha seats in the final phase. These include PM Modi from Varanasi seat, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Mamta Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee, Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti and actress Kangana Ranaut.
The fate of these candidates will be decided by 10.06 crore voters. These include 5.24 crore men, 4.82 crore women and 3,574 transgenders.
