Ranchi, February 19: Chief Minister Champai Soren said today that the government will protect religious places of all religions and communities in the State.
Inaugurating the three-day Itkhori Mahotsav organised at the Itkhori Maa Bhadrakali Temple complex in Chatra, Soren said the government is determined to ensure that people of any class or community are not harmed by their religious beliefs.
Religious leaders of different classes and communities were present on the occasion.

Itkhori is a prominent religious place
Soren pointed out that Itkhori is developing as a prominent religious place in the country and the world. “It is the priority of the state government to establish Itkhori as a well-known religious tourist destination in the coming times,” he added.
He said that the Mother Goddess is worshipped the most in society. “Mother has a different and important place in the world. Be it a mother goddess in the form of God or a mother who gives birth to a human being; a mother is always worshipable and venerable. Mother Goddess incarnates only to save human life from atrocities and misdeeds,” he said.

Mother Bhadrakali
“We all worship Goddess Saraswati for knowledge and wisdom, while we worship Goddess Lakshmi for happiness, prosperity and glory. Similarly, by worshipping Mother Bhadrakali, all our wishes are fulfilled,” he said.

Will provide permanent houses to 20 lakh homeless families
The chief minister said that by 2027, our government will provide permanent houses to 20 lakh homeless families in the State.
“We will prioritise permanent houses for those forced to live in mud houses or slums,” he added.
He said that in this modern era, when the country and the world are developing fast, we will not let Jharkhand lag under any circumstances,” he assured.

Guruji credit card
Champai Soren said that our government is providing the Guruji Credit Card Scheme benefits to children of all classes and communities, including tribals, Dalits, labourers, farmers, and minorities of Jharkhand.
“Now, our children’s education will not stop because of money. The work of lighting the ‘lamp’ of education for the children of all these sections by former Chief Minister Hemant Soren will never be allowed to be extinguished. Our government is continuously trying to strengthen the education system. A developed state can be created only through an educated society,” he said.

On this occasion, Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Minister Badal Patralekh, MLA Kishun Kumar Das, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Buddhist Guru Swami Ravindra Kirti Ji, Religious Guru Nangjeya Dorje Ji, Head Priest Nageshwar Ji, Chairman of Digambar Jain Religious Trust Board Tarachand Jain along with other dignitaries and a large number of devotees were present.
