Jamshedpur, Nov 2: A 32-year-old man was found lying murdered under Kapali Thana Out Post in the Chandil Thana area near Jamshedpur on Thursday morning.
The victim was identified as Nirmal Majhi, a resident of Hansadungri in Kapali.
According to police, the victim had marks of grievous injuries on the head, suggesting that he might have been bludgeoned to death by an unknown assailant.
Though the body was found in a pool of blood in a bush, the police maintain he might have killed the man somewhere else and dumped the body in the bush.
In this connection, the police have registered a case on the FIR lodged by the victim’s widow Minu Hembram.
Nirmal Majhi would work as a construction labourer in the adjoining Mango locality.
“This is a case of murder, but we are in the dark about the motive behind the murder as the victim had neither any enemy nor any police record, ” said Kapali TOP’s OC, Sandeep Kumar while talking to TheJharkhandStory.co.in.
Kumar, however, stated that the police are trying to detect the mystery behind the gruesome murder and find out the assailants indulged in the crime.
