Jamshedpur, Feb 27: Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan today lauded the efforts of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII ) for thinking in advance on how to make the industries in Jharkhand future ready towards a Viksit Bharat@2047.
He also suggested CII to form groups within Jharkhand to focus on new ideas towards the growth of industrialisation in Jharkhand.
According to him, Jharkhand has a robust response system that provides a plethora of opportunities towards growth across different categories of business sectors such as minerals, iron and steel, mining, agriculture, textile and tourism.
He was addressing the annual day function of CII here.
New office bearers of CII
The new office bearers of CII Jharkhand State Council were elected for the year 2024-25 at the event.
Ranjot Singh, managing director, Emdet Jamshedpur Pvt Ltd was elected as the chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council for the year 2024-25.

Ritu Raj Sinha, managing director, Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited was elected as the vice-chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council for the year 2024-25.
Their names were announced at the CII Jharkhand Annual Day held today in Jamshedpur.
The announcements of the new office bearers of the CII Jharkhand State Council were made at the annual meeting.
Session on Jharkhand towards a Competitive and Sustainable India@100
Coinciding with its annual meeting, CII Jharkhand also organized a Session on ‘Jharkhand towards a Competitive and Sustainable India@100’ where eminent speakers deliberated on key tracks which include Future of Steel; Global Supply Chain; Future of Automotive in India; Sustainable Energy and Waste Management & Challenges and Opportunities in Indian Start-Up Ecosystem. Overall discussions on industrialisation and driving competitive growth in India took place.
The progress towards sustainable development in Jharkhand has been moderate, indicating the need for more concrete guidance that would allow businesses to act strategically and successfully in a sustainable way, said Ranjot Singh, vice-chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council and managing director, Emdet Jamshedpur Pvt Ltd.
