Dhanbad, March 19: The Nurturing Future Leadership Skills Development Programme began at IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad.
Malyvia Mission Teachers Training Programme
Prof JK Pattanayak, officiating director of IIT ISM, inaugurated the event organized by the Malyvia Mission Teachers Training Programme (MMTTP). The ministry of education sponsored this Nurturing Future Leadership programme.
Prof Mrinalini Pandey, the program’s coordinator, delivered a welcome speech highlighting the significance of nurturing leadership skills among faculty members. “ The Nurturing Future Leadership Program aims to create an empowered workforce with an open and participative culture, aligning with the vision outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020,” she said.

Leadership excellence
Prof Pandey said it also aims to foster leadership excellence within higher educational institutions (HEIs) and empower faculty members to become effective leaders in academia.
Somnath Chattopadhyay, professor in charge of orientation courses for engineering postgraduates (OCEP), provided a brief overview of the program while emphasizing its objectives and structure. Prof Md Irfan, Co-coordinator, proposed a vote of thanks.
Who are the participants?
The programme has attracted participants from various institutions, including Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Central Sanskrit University, MGCUB and Central University of South Bihar. Dr Pankaj KP Shreyaskar, DDG (PIMD) Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Prof DK Singh, Vice Chancellor, Jharkhand Technical University (JTU), and Prof Rajendra Sharma, head, MDP, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Kolkata along with the Faculties of IIT(ISM) Dhanbad) will serve as resource persons for the programme.
