Ranchi, Nov 4: A conspiracy was hatched to harm ED (Enforcement Directorate) officers involved in the investigation of various cases, including land scams and illegal mining. Subsequently, the security of ED officers has been enhanced.
According to the information, the responsibility for the security of ED officers has been entrusted to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
It is also noteworthy that the Ministry of Home Affairs has sent a letter to the state police regarding this matter, providing instructions concerning the security of ED officers.
A conspiracy was not only hatched to entangle the ED officers in fake cases but also the accused had established contact with a gangster from Jharkhand to harm two ED officers.
The accused even held a meeting with the gangster, who is currently incarcerated in Ranchi Central Jail, to plan their actions. Upon receiving information about this case, the ED conducted a raid at Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Central Jail on Friday.
Earlier, the ED had also received information that after accusing an ED officer in the ST-SC case in Dhurwa, a conspiracy to implicate him in serious charges was hatched from the jail itself.
There is also information that the accused had earlier contacted the Naxalites to harm the ED officers, but the Naxalites had clearly refused to get involved in this matter. Subsequently, the accused established contact with a gangster from Jharkhand and began planning their actions.
