Daltonganj, May 2: 38 girl examinees out of 45 of the Govt +2 girls high school in Daltonganj have failed in the 2024 intermediate science faculty exams conducted by the JAC results of which were published only last week.
The 38 girls have failed in 1 subject or 2 subjects or even in 3 subjects.
As these 38 girls are from the prestigious KG Girls High School, their school is known by this name too, the matter is worrisome.
District Education Officer Durganand Jha has confirmed that 38 girl examinees out of 45 have failed in the science stream of JAC’s 2024 intermediate science exams.
Jha said two reasons for it need to be reviewed and analysed.

DEO speaks to JAC Secretary
First, they were taught ‘not well and properly’. Again, they didn’t mug hard for career and results. It is to be found out, reiterated Jha. Their poor performance is a result of either one of the two reasons or it is due to both the factors not taught well and not learnt well.
The DEO said, “I have got the applications of the failed examinees for scrutiny or re-evaluation.”
“I have spoken to the secretary, JAC and apprised him about the case of these 38 girl examinees,” added Jha.
Marks tally poorly
Those who failed in 3 subjects have fared too badly.
Their marks tally is the poorest like 5, 9, 10 and 10, 12, 10. PCM and PCB are the subjects that failed them. These two PCM and PCB stand for physics- chemistry-mathematics and physics-chemistry-biology.
