Jamshedpur, May 7: Two persons were injured on being shot at by a criminal near Sai Temple close to the posh CH Area under Sonari Thana area on Tuesday afternoon.
Identified as Abhay Gope and Surya Hembram, the gunshot injured were rushed to Tata Main Hospital where the duo have been admitted.
Police arrest shooter
The police, however, succeeded to nab the shooter by swinging into action soon after the incident.
The one in police custody for allegedly firing indiscriminately has been identified as Akaash Singh alias Batla.

Police declined to comment on case specifics
The police are now interrogating the arrested person and declined to comment anything as to where did the victims as well as the shooter came from, the motive behind the gunshot attack and whether the two injured have any criminal record.
The deputy superintendent of police (headquarters-II) confirmed about the firing incident but declined to say anything as the investigation is at a nascent stage.
It may be mentioned here that the spot where the firing incident took place is an important intersection linking Bistupur to Sonari via posh CH Area locality. Moreover, the place remains always crowded with commuters.
