Police officials said the incident occurred when the girl was returning home after attending school. Nisha set out from school with two other girls from her village.   On the way to the village, her classmates rode on the bike of a boy while she began walking alone.

When she did not return home after a long time, her mother inquired about other girls in the village.  She along with other members began a search on the way to school and found her slain body. Later, villagers also reached there and found the injured boy Vishal Rajwar lying in some distance.

In the initial investigation, police suspect the involvement of Vishal Rajwar in the crime. The girl had received multiple injuries on her body. Blood spot was found at different places. Police suspect the involvement of another boy who injured Vishal Rajwar.
