Ranchi, May 13: Voting concluded in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections in four constituencies of Jharkhand. Until 5 p.m., an average of 63.14% voter turnout was recorded in the four Lok Sabha constituencies of Jharkhand that went for polling on Monday.
The constituencies where voting is taking place include Khunti, Singhbhum, Lohardaga and Palamu. In these four Lok Sabha constituencies, voter turnout stood at 65.82%, 66.11%, 62.60%, and 59.99%, respectively.
Among the candidates whose fate has been sealed in the EVMs today are Central Minister Arjun Munda, MP B.D. Ram, Geeta Koda, Joba Manjhi, Sukhdev Bhagat, Samir Uranv, Mamata Bhuiyan, and Kalicharan Munda.
Voting began amidst tight security at 7 a.m. on Monday for four Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. Polling continued until 5 p.m. on the Singhbhum, Lohardaga, Khunti, and Palamu Lok Sabha seats.
Until 3 pm, Singhbhum recorded a voter turnout of 57.62 per cent whereas 59.97 per cent voting was recorded in Khunti, 53.35% in Palamu and 56.72 per cent in Lohardaga.

Officials reported that 43.80 per cent of voter turnout was recorded by 1 pm in the ongoing polling for the four Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand on Monday.
Until 1 pm, Singhbhum had a voter turnout of 43.83%, Khunti recorded 47.41%, Lohardaga had 43.46%, and Palamu registered 41.85%.
7,595 polling booths in four LS seats of Jharkhand
In the Singhbhum Lok Sabha constituency, 1,715 polling centres have been set up, with 250 in urban areas and 1,454 in rural areas. In the Khunti Lok Sabha constituency, there are 1,705 polling centres, with only 83 in urban areas and the rest, 1,622, in rural areas. Lohardaga has 1,748 polling centres, out of which only 76 are in urban areas. Meanwhile, in the Palamu Lok Sabha constituency, there are 2,427 polling centres, with 230 in urban areas and 2,197 in rural areas.
Earlier, the Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar said that a total of 64.37 lakh voters will exercise their franchise in the first phase in Jharkhand. For voting on the four Lok Sabha seats, 7,595 polling booths have been set up. In these booths, 30,380 polling personnel have been deployed. Webcasting is being monitored at all booths, and 15,000 4D cameras have also been installed.
According to the Election Commission’s figures, there are 14 candidates in Singhbhum, 7 in Khunti, 9 in Palamu, and 15 in Lohardaga trying their luck. In Khunti, the faceoff is between Central Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Arjun Munda and opposition alliance ‘INDIA’ candidate Kalicharan Munda.
