Jamshedpur, May 27: A middle-aged man was bludgeoned to death behind LBSM College under the suburban Parsudih Thana area of the city in the early hours on Monday.
Victim went out to consume liquor
Identified as Raju Agarwal, the murder victim had come out of his house for boozing in the evening, but did not return home. On searching, the family members and friends found the body lying at a convenient corner in an isolated place at the early hours today.
The murder took place about 500 metres away from the victim’s house which is located at the densely-populated Karandih locality.
The murder victim ran a grocery shop and was an alcoholic.

Police suspect involvement of more than one person
Officer-in-charge, Parsudih Thana said Raju Agrawal might have been bludgeoned to death by other co-boozers in a sequel to any dispute.
“As of now, no enmity angle has come to the fore resulting in the man’s murder. The victim’s widow has also told us in her statement that her husband was an amicable person and had no enmity with anyone as such, ” the officer-in-charge said while talking to The Jharkhand Story.
The police officer said to have recovered blood-stained sticks and blood-stained boulders from the spot where the body of the murder victim was found lying.
The officer-in-charge said more than one person is suspected to have committed the murder, adding that they would solve the case shortly.
