Jamshedpur, June 3: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert of heat wave in isolated parts of Jharkhand from tomorrow, Tuesday.
According to the forecast, heat wave conditions are likely to occur at isolated places of the Garhwa, Palamu and Chatra districts of the state tomorrow.
An alert of heat wave conditions was also issued for isolated places of Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribag and Koderma districts of the state in June 5, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) are likely at isolated places over north-eastern, central and southern parts of the state today.

Monsoon Update
The southwest monsoon has advanced into some more parts of the central Arabian Sea,
remaining parts of Lakshadweep area and Kerala, Tamil Nadu, some parts of Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Andhra Pradesh, remaining parts of Southwest Bay of Bengal and more parts of central and northwest Bay of Bengal.
The Northern Limit of the monsoon was passing through Mangalore, Chitradurga, Nellore and Islampur.
Conditions are favourable for further advancement of the Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of the central Arabian Sea, some more parts of Karnataka, Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh; some more parts of west-central and Northwest Bay of Bengal during the next 2-3 days.
Synoptic Features
A cyclonic circulation lies over Southern parts of East Uttar Pradesh and its neighbourhood extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
