Jharkhand Weather: Heat wave conditions to prevail in Palamu region today

Jamshedpur, June 4: Heat wave conditions would prevail at isolated places of Palamu, Garhwa and Chatra districts of the state, according to a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

The forecast also suggests a rise in maximum temperature by three to four degrees Celsius in some places during the next three days.

Heat wave conditions are also likely to prevail at isolated places of Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribag and Koderma districts tomorrow, June 5.

Weathermen said heat wave condition is expected to prevail at isolated places over the state till June 7.

Southwest monsoon advanced into some more parts of the central Arabian Sea, some more parts of Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of Telangana and some more parts of Westcentral and Northwest Bay of Bengal.

The Northern Limit of the monsoon was passing through Honnavar, Ballari, Kurnool, Narsapur and Islampur.

Conditions are favourable for further advancement of the southwest monsoon into the remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Karnataka, some parts of south Maharashtra, Goa, remaining parts Rayalaseema, Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of south Chhattisgarh and south Odisha, some more parts of west-central and northwest Bay of Bengal during next 4-5 days.

Synoptic Features

A trough runs from cyclonic circulation over eastern Uttar Pradesh to north interior Karnataka across Madhya Pradesh and interior Maharashtra at 1.5 km above the mean sea level.

A cyclonic circulation lies over Bihar at 0.9 km above the mean sea level.
