New Delhi, June 21: Over the purported anomalies in the NEET-UG 2024 exams, Delhi Congress workers staged a protest on Friday near the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.

Devender Yadav, the president of the Delhi Congress, led the protest.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET-UG, on May 5, with approximately 24 lakh candidates participating and the results were declared on June 4.

Allegations of question paper leaks in states such as Bihar, along with other exam irregularities, have surfaced. These claims have incited protests across multiple cities and prompted petitions in numerous high courts and the Supreme Court.

While affirming that counselling will continue, the Supreme Court on Thursday halted proceedings before several High Courts in cases pertaining to purported paper leaks in the NEET-UG 2024 exam.

The Supreme Court issued notices regarding a petition from the National Testing Agency (NTA) that seeks to transfer cases related to NEET-UG 2024 from the High Courts to the Supreme Court.

The case is scheduled for its next hearing on July 8.
