Jamshedpur, June 21: In a remarkable display of social responsibility and community service, the city’s leading social organization ‘Arpan’ is set to host its 9th Maha Blood Donation Camp on Sunday, June 23rd, from 8 am to 6 pm at Sakchi Red Cross Bhawan. This annual event, driven by a deep commitment to saving lives, aims to address the critical shortage of blood in local blood banks.

A press conference was held on Friday at Sakchi, to discuss the upcoming event. Amarpreet Singh Kale, the chief patron of Arpan Sanstha, emphasized the significance of organizing such a camp, particularly during the scorching summer months when blood banks face acute shortages and haemoglobin levels are generally lower among the population.

Kale praised the unwavering dedication of the Arpan family, stating, “May God give more strength to the youth of the Arpan family; they carry out social responsibilities 24@7.”

Over the past eight years, Arpan has collected an impressive 6,083 units of blood. The organization remains committed to its mission of ensuring that no one in the Kolhan region dies due to a lack of blood.

By maintaining a robust network of donors available around the clock, Arpan has been instrumental in meeting the urgent blood needs of patients throughout the year.

The press conference highlighted Arpan’s continuous efforts to recruit first-time blood donors, who form a significant part of the annual camp. This year, the organization has intensified its outreach efforts, leveraging social media to raise awareness and promote the importance of blood donation.

Over the past month, Arpan has conducted eight workshops aimed at educating and motivating the youth to participate in blood donation. These initiatives have yielded positive results, with a noticeable increase in the number of first-time donors in the city.

Amarpreet Singh Kale further remarked on the event’s timing and purpose saying, “In the scorching heat, when there is a shortage of blood in the blood banks and the haemoglobin level of a normal person is low, this event is organized by the Arpan family on the request of the blood bank. Our first goal is that no one should die due to lack of blood. Needy people come from all over Kolhan, and we are always ready to provide blood to those in need.”

The press conference saw the participation of several prominent members of the Arpan family, including Jugun Pandey, Pappu Rao, Bunty Singh, Bibhash Majumdar, Prince Singh, Kaushik Prasad, Shekhar Mukhi, Deepak Singh, Manish Singh, Ghanshyam Bhirbharia, Dheeraj Chaudhary, Amit Pathak, Sarabjit Singh Toby, Saurav Chatterjee, Manu Dhoke, Suraj Choubey, Vicky Tarve, Ajit Prasad, Rama Rao, Raj Singh, among others.

Their collective efforts and dedication are a testament to the organization’s enduring spirit of volunteerism and community service.
