New Delhi, June 24: The Supreme Court has set June 26 as the date for hearing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s appeal against the Delhi High Court’s interim stay on his bail in the money laundering case associated with the alleged excise scam/ liquor scam.
A vacation bench comprising Justices Manoj Misra and SVN Bhatti stated that they would wait for the Delhi High Court’s decision on the matter before proceeding further.
Senior Advocate Abhishek Singhvi, appearing on behalf of Kejriwal, asked for the interim stay on the bail order to be lifted.

ASG SV Raju, representing the Enforcement Directorate (ED), objected to Kejriwal’s request, stating that the high court is on the verge of delivering its decision regarding the stay application.
Notably, Kejriwal was granted bail by the lower court, namely Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, on June 20. Opposing this, the ED approached the Delhi High Court.
On June 21, the Delhi High Court issued an interim stay on bail and kept its final judgment reserved.
Kejriwal subsequently lodged an appeal in the Supreme Court challenging the order issued by the High Court.
