New Delhi, July 11: A BCCI source revealed that the Indian team will not visit Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and will request the International Cricket Council (ICC) to relocate the matches to Sri Lanka or Dubai.
The ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place in Pakistan from February to March 2025.
Since the 2008 Asia Cup, India has refrained from playing cricket tournaments in Pakistan due to ongoing tensions between the two nations.

The last bilateral series between the two countries took place in India from December 2012 to January 2013. After that, India and Pakistan have only competed in ICC tournaments and the Asia Cup.

The strained relationship between the two countries has cast uncertainty over India’s participation in the Champions Trophy.
The Pakistan Cricket Board proposed that India play all its matches in one city, with Lahore being the chosen location. However, the Indian board is not inclined to consider travelling to Pakistan.
During last year’s Asia Cup which was originally scheduled to be hosted in Pakistan, the PCB had to adopt a hybrid model, with all of India’s matches, including those against Pakistan, being held in Sri Lanka.
The ICC Champions Trophy was last played in 2017 in which Pakistan beat India in the final to lift the trophy.
