Dhanbad, July 17: The Jharkhand State School Rasoiya Association has cancelled the chief minister house gherao agitation scheduled on July 20 after getting talk offer from the government over long pending demands.

State Association secretary Manoj Kumar Kushwaha said that on Tuesday evening (July 16) education secretary Kiran Pasi sent a letter inviting for talks at 3 pm on July 20 over demands of the Rasoiya body. So, it has been decided to call off the gherao stir and attend the meeting.

“A five-member delegation of the state body will participate in the meeting with the government. If a positive result comes out at the meeting, 81,000 school Rasoiyas of the state will call off their agitation.  If talk fails, we will announce a fresh date of agitation,” said Manoj Kumar Kushwaha.
