MTMC Jamshedpur distributes 40 laptops to 20 govt schools

Jamshedpur, July 24: Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) distributed 40 laptops to 20 government schools in the East Singhbhum district under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

Initiative to equip students with tech skills

This initiative aims to equip students with essential technological skills, fostering educational growth and bridging the digital divide.

Building on the success of last year’s initiative, which saw the distribution of 75 laptops to 15 schools, MTMC is continuing its commitment to enhancing education in both rural and urban areas.

This year’s distribution effort is designed to provide greater access to computer science education, preparing students for a future driven by technology.

The laptop distribution event took place at TMA Pai Hall on the MTMC premises, in consultation with the District Education Department and the Jharkhand Education Project.

Principals of beneficiary schools receive laptops

Principals and headmasters from the 20 beneficiary schools were present to receive the laptops, highlighting the community’s support and raising awareness about this impactful initiative.

“We are proud to continue our efforts in supporting the educational needs of the East Singhbhum District,” said the Dean of MTMC.

“We believe that every student deserves access to quality education, and we are committed to doing our part in bridging the gap,” added the Head of the Outreach Department at MTMC.

MTMC and govt officials attend the event

The event saw the presence of the Dean of MTMC, the Director of MTMC, the Head of Outreach at MTMC, Manoj Kumar, District Education Officer of East Singhbhum, Ashish Kumar Pandey, District Education Inspector of East Singhbhum, and  Akhilesh Kumar, Assistant Program Officer of the Education Department of East Singhbhum.

Manipal Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur, a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence (IoE), is a renowned educational institution committed to providing quality medical education and healthcare services.

Located in Jamshedpur, the college offers undergraduate programs in the fields of medicine and allied sciences.
