Mumbai, August 30: Actress-turned-MP Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ continues to face mounting difficulties. Since before its release, ‘Emergency’ has been embroiled in controversy.

Release date of ‘Emergency’ postponed several times

Notably, the release date of ‘Emergency’ has been postponed multiple times. Initially, the film was scheduled to be released on November 24, 2023. However, due to various reasons, the makers pushed the release date to June 14. Yet, the film did not make it to the big screen on that date either. Subsequently, the makers delayed the release once again.

Kangana Ranaut’s “Emergency” is now set to be released in theatres worldwide on September 6, 2024. However, just days before its release, the film is embroiled in controversy once more.

The screenplay and dialogues for ‘Emergency’ have been written by Ritesh Shah, who gained fame for his work on the screenplay and dialogues of the film ‘Pink’. He also wrote the script for ‘Dhaakad’. The film is produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films.

Besides Kangana Ranaut, the cast includes Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik.
