Ranchi, Sept 4: Resident doctors of Central Institute of Psychiatric (CIP) Ranchi are geared up for today’s evening demonstration in support of agitating RG Kar Medical College Hospital Kolkata and for speedy justice of the murdered trainee lady doctor.
The spokesperson of CIP Ranchi Resident Doctors Association (RDA), Dr Avinash Bipin, said that a massive arrangement had been made for a peaceful demonstration in the late evening today to express solidarity with Kolkata doctors.
This is the first time doctors of CIP Ranchi have jumped into agitation on national and state medical issues.
Hostel mates to switch off lights
RDA CIP spokesperson Dr Avinash Bipin, rolling out today’s evening protest programme, said that all hostel mates’ doctors will switch off the lights for one hour from 9 pm to 10 pm. After that, all resident doctors will assemble and take part in a candle march for justice for the murdered Kolkata doctor. The participants will also form a human chain on the occasion.
“The RDA has invited all to join in the protest march in solidarity with Kolkata RG Kar Medical College Hospital for a peaceful demonstration titled ‘Let there be light, let there be justice,” said Dr Avinash Bipin.
Interestingly, office bearers of the newly formed IMA Resident Doctors Network (RDN) and IMA Medical Students Network (MSN) when contacted on Wednesday said that they had no official information about the protest march of the Central Institute of Psychiatric Resident Doctors Association.
