Jamshedpur, September 9: Kerala Public School Kadma organized its Annual Blood Donation Camp, to commemorate the eighth death anniversary of its founder Chairman, Late APR Nair. The event was a tribute to the visionary educationist from Jamshedpur, who rose from humble beginnings to achieve great heights through sheer dedication and hard work.

Fondly remembered as the ‘Saksharta Man of Jamshedpur,’ Late APR Nair played a crucial role in making English medium education accessible to all segments of society, spreading the light of knowledge across the city.

The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful ‘Bhajan’ performed by the school choir. The event was graced by Chairperson Manorama Nair, Director of Kerala Public Schools  Sharat Chandran, Academic Director  Lakshmi R, Principal of Kerala Public School Kadma  Sharmila Mukherjee, and Headmistress  Alamelu Ravishankar.

In her welcome address, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee emphasized the importance of blood donation and urged the community to dispel myths surrounding this noble act. She highlighted how this selfless contribution can save lives and benefit society as a whole.

Academic Director  Sharat Chandran also spoke on the health benefits of donating blood, encouraging more people to come forward.

The school expressed heartfelt gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support, without which the event wouldn’t have been possible.

By the end of the day, Kerala Public School Kadma successfully collected 116 units of blood, marking another successful initiative in honour of Late APR Nair’s legacy of service and compassion.
