Palamu Police bust Odisha gang involved in snatching, four arrested

Daltonganj, September 15: After the busting of the MP’s Pardi gang in Palamu and Bihar’s Korha gang in Garhwa, Palamu police have busted another gang of Odisha which has notoriety to steal and snatch valuables of a person in his unguarded moment.

This Odisha gang is from Jaajpur district which is operative in Jharkhand, Odisha, UP and Bihar.

The gang was caught during an NH (National Highway) checking of the vehicles when police discovered two different numbers of the registration of a bike.

Chhaterpur police have nabbed four of this gang identified as Sidhant Rao, 20, Karan Rao, 20, Shanti Das, 31 and Manoj Das 25.

The gang hires a room, lives for a month, does recce and then steals or snatches valuables before going into thin air to take shelter at another location.

The gang puts up a facade of selling sarees and utensils. It also uses fake registration bikes. Chhaterpur police seized two such bikes having fake registration numbers.
