Khunti, Sept 23: Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that in 2021, the “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” program was initiated from the heroic land of Ulihatu in Khunti and today marks the fourth phase of this program.
He remarked that the responsibility entrusted to us by the people in 2019 is being fulfilled. “You all have made me the chief servant of the state. From 2019 until now, our government has faced numerous challenges. Just a few days after the formation of the government, the global pandemic of COVID-19 forced the entire country and world into a standstill. For two years, we were focused on safeguarding lives and livelihoods within the state. Thanks to the government’s efforts, not a single person in the state died from hunger during the pandemic” he said.
The Chief Minister said he still remembers the time when village women cooked and provided free meals to people during the pandemic. It was at that moment that he resolved to empower the women of the state at all costs, ensuring their social and economic strength.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren made these remarks today during his address at the “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” program held at the NHPC ground in the Torpa block of Khunti district.
The Chief Minister stated that after considerable effort, the Sarna Dharma Code Bill was passed in the Assembly and sent to the central government. However, it is unfortunate that due to the indifference of the central government, the tribal community has yet to receive recognition for the Sarna Dharma Code.

If Centre provides pending amount of ₹1.36 lakh crore, development work will accelerate
Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that the state government has once again written to the central government, requesting the pending ₹1.36 lakh crore. He mentioned that if the central government cannot release the entire amount, it should at least provide the interest, so that the state can offer a monthly honorarium of ₹2,000 (₹24,000 annually) to women.
The Chief Minister also reminded that four years ago, people faced numerous difficulties in receiving pensions, but now, officials visit homes to facilitate pension and honorarium benefits for women. As a result, every household now receives pension and honorarium payments. If the central government provides the pending amount, development projects in the state will gain further momentum.
Approval for large-scale rice processing industry
He further mentioned that his government has approved large-scale rice processing industries within the state. Soon, the system for purchasing paddy will be accelerated, and the rice produced in these factories will be distributed among the poor in the state.
The Chief Minister emphasized that his government is not only providing food, clothing, and shelter to the people but is also making significant improvements in the field of education. Jharkhand is the only state in the country that sends its youth abroad for higher education.

He emphasized that his government has worked to ensure that every section of society in the state receives their rightful entitlements. The Chief Minister appealed to those present to keep their spirits high and remain strong. “Your son is committed to your holistic development. All I ask is that you continue to bless us so we can work tirelessly for the public good. Your affection and blessings provide us with the strength and positive energy to keep working.”
Jharkhand women power getting respect

He mentioned that his government has provided respect to women and support to the elderly. The “Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maaiyaan Samman Yojana” was launched to not only honor the women of the state but also to empower them economically. The government is ensuring that women from all sections of society receive their rightful entitlements.
