Ranchi, Sept 27: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today handed over appointment letters to 527 candidates selected by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) for different posts.
These included 120 PGT and TGT teachers, 200 assistant teachers and 56 laboratory assistants.
These apart, 47 candidates received appointment letters in the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, 25 in the Road Construction Department, 49 in the Water Resources Department, 28 in the Urban Development and Housing Department, one each in Finance, Commercial Tax and Food Supply Department and three candidates in RIMS.
Speaking on this occasion, Soren explained how the recruitment process was delayed in the absence of appointment rules and due to the coronavirus pandemic. He blamed the previous BJP governments saying they did not take any steps to frame rules for the last 20 years.

“Still, appointments have been made on thousands of vacant posts in various departments and the appointment process is going on for many posts,” he added.
JPSC examination process completed in record time
The chief minister said that after the formation of our government, the JPSC examination was completed in record time without any controversy. “Earlier, it used to take many years to complete an examination process of JPSC and there used to be controversy about every examination. But our government conducted the examination fairly and transparently in which a large number of poor youths achieved success based on their hard work,” he pointed out.
Jharkhand writes to Centre on constable aspirants’ death
Soren said the death of some candidates in the physical efficiency test of the Jharkhand Excise Constable Examination is sad and worrying. “Efforts are being made to know the reasons for this. Help has been sought by writing a letter to the Centre,” he added.
