Ranchi, Oct 1: If the BJP coined the ‘Mila Kya’ slogan to paint Chief Minister Hemant Soren as one who made false promises to win elections in 2019, the JMM replied today with ‘Kab Milega’ catchphrase.
Both the BJP and the JMM hope that this combination of words will strike a chord with the electorates separated by domicile, religion, region, caste and language.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s ‘Kab Milega?’ catchphrase relates to the Jharkhand government’s long-pending demand from the Central government to pay Rs 1.36 lakh crores.
Soren has written several letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for it. The Jharkhand government has raised this issue at several platforms where the central government ministers are present.
CM’s open letter published in newspapers
Now, Hemant Soren published an open letter in various newspapers today in the form of an advertisement ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hazaribag tomorrow where he will conclude the “Parivartan yatra’ launched by the BJP to throw out the JMM-Congress government, and launch projects worth Rs 83,300 crore.

Soren has demanded the dues for the development of women, children, old, Adivasi, Moolvasis, Dalit, Minorities and displaced.
Break up of Rs 1.36 lakh crore
He has pointed out that the dues of Rs 1.36 lakh crores included Rs 2,900 crore as coal royalty, Rs 32,000 crore for violating the environmental clearance limit, and Rs 41,142 crore for land compensation. It also includes Rs 60,000 crore as interest on the dues amount.
Seeking the prime minister’s intervention, Soren said that this fund is required not only for the development of the state but also for poverty alleviation.
Why does CM rake up this issue?
Though the Central government has disputed the dues amount, Hemant Soren, according to JMM sources, wants to unite the voters during the elections telling them how the central government was denying their rights. The JMM leaders, including Kalpana Soren, have already gone to town, telling people the Modi govt put Hemant Soren behind bars when he fought for the rights of Adivasis-Moolvasis.
Soren’s letter to PM
Soren also wrote a letter to the prime minister a week back, saying he was not asking for special status like the BJP-allied states, nor he was asking for a bigger share of the Union Budget, rather the demand is only for justice, not for privileges.
“Despite repeated reminders, nothing has moved in this direction which has caused great prejudice and loss of the State depriving the State Government of the possibility of extending & expanding various socio-economic reforms and policies to the last person in the last village,” Soren said in the letter.
Incidentally, BJP top leaders have maintained silence over it.
PM to lay foundation stone, inaugurate projects worth Rs 83,300 cr
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Jharkhand on October 2, will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various projects worth over Rs 83,300 crore.
Modi will launch Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan with a total outlay of over Rs 79,150 crore.
He will inaugurate 40 Eklavya Schools and also lay the foundation stone for 25 Eklavya Schools.
“In line with his commitment to ensure comprehensive and holistic development of tribal communities across the country, the prime minister will launch Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan with a total outlay of over Rs 79,150 crore,” said a release issued by the PMO.
The Abhiyan will cover around 63,000 villages benefitting more than five crore tribal people in 549 districts and 2,740 blocks across 30 states and UTs.
