Ranchi, Nov. 28: Hemant Soren, who conquered the BJP in the assembly elections, today took oath as Jharkhand’s chief minister for the fourth time.

The swearing-in ceremony was a significant occasion for the INDIA bloc to demonstrate its unity and strength.

Governor Santosh Gangwar administered Soren his oath of office at the Morhabadi ground.

Soren has become the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand, which was formed from Bihar on November 15, 2000. The majority threshold in the state assembly is 41 seats.

Shivakumar, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav, AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh, AAP MP Raghav Chadha, Bihar MP Pappu Yadav, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and others.

In a stunning comeback, Hemant Soren’s JMM-led alliance on Saturday stormed to power in Jharkhand for a second consecutive term, winning 56 seats in the 81-member assembly, despite an all-out blitz by the BJP-led NDA, which managed only 24 seats.
