Dhanbad, Dec 9: The two-day international conference BITCON-24, held at BIT Sindri, concluded on Sunday evening with insights from experts from the USA. The conference, focused on emerging trends and challenges in electrical engineering, was organized by the Electrical Engineering Department of BIT Sindri in collaboration with IEEE Kolkata Section.

Experts like Arpita Soni from Charlotte, Dr. Sharose Anjum from Ayova, and Dr. Madhu Singh from NIT Jamshedpur shared their expertise during the second technical session, addressing key issues in the field.

Research papers on key electrical engineering topics

During the technical session, five significant research papers were presented on various topics including Power Systems, Smart Grids, Smart Technologies, Power Electronics Devices, Electrical Vehicles, Control Systems, Green Energy Technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

These papers reflected the latest advancements and the future of electrical engineering, sparking important discussions among participants.

Insights on future of electrical engineering

In the afternoon session, experts like Vishal Yadav from DVC Maithon, Dr. Rajan Sarkar from GEC Gaya, and Dr. Prabhat Kumar Mishra from IIT Kharagpur shared their insights on the future of electrical engineering and advancements in technology.

Their discussions provided a comprehensive understanding of how electrical engineering is evolving and the technological challenges that lie ahead.

Closing ceremony and awards

Dr. Nirmala Soren, General Chair of BITCON-24, delivered an overview of the conference during the closing ceremony, highlighting the key moments and groundbreaking discussions that defined the event.

Dr. Pankaj Rai, Director of BIT Sindri and Patron of BITCON-24, emphasized the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in engineering through such initiatives. He also presented mementos to Session Chairs in recognition of their valuable contributions.

The closing ceremony also featured the distribution of awards to the winners of various conference tracks, presented by Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kalam, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department.
