Tan played a key role in forming the successful duo of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy during his first term with India.
Following a successful period with the Indian team from 2015 to 2019, Tan will take over from Danish Olympic medalist Mathias Boe, who retired from coaching after the Paris Olympics earlier this year.
Tan returns to India to build on his past success after working with Japanese men’s doubles pairs since 2019. To kick off his second stint with the team, he has already arrived in the country and joined the players in Hyderabad.
