Jharkhand News: Loyola School Jamshedpur hosts interactive session with van drivers

Jamshedpur, Dec 13: As part of its commitment to fostering open communication with all stakeholders, Loyola School organized an interactive session with approximately 40 van drivers on Friday. This initiative aimed to emphasize the critical role of student safety, adherence to traffic rules, and provide a platform for the drivers to voice their concerns and suggestions.

Father Principal highlights importance of safety and POCSO Act

The meeting, led by Father Principal, Father Vinod Fernandes underscored the necessity of cautious and respectful behaviour with students.

Addressing the drivers, Father Principal highlighted the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, urging them to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and vigilance to ensure the well-being of the children.

Discussion on drivers’ challenges

The Principal’s address was followed by a candid discussion, during which the drivers shared various challenges they face in their daily routines. Together with the management, solutions were brainstormed to address these issues effectively.

The drivers were reminded that they are integral members of the Loyola School community, entrusted with a pivotal role in shaping the daily experiences of the students under their care.

Honoring long-serving van drivers

The session also included a moment of celebration, as a few van drivers were honoured for their long-standing association with the school. Some of these drivers have been dedicatedly serving Loyola School since 1992. Father Vinod Fernandes, in his remarks, applauded their unwavering commitment and expressed heartfelt gratitude for their years of selfless service.

The event was graced by the presence of Jayanthi Sheshadri, Vice Principal of the Senior Section, and  Vineeta Ekka, Vice Principal of the Junior Section. Their participation further reinforced the collaborative spirit of the occasion.

The session concluded on a warm note with fellowship, leaving the drivers feeling valued and motivated.
