THE JHARKHAND STORY DESK

Ranchi, Dec 17: The Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday heard a petition seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (JSSC CGL) examination paper leak case.

During the hearing, the court ordered a stay on the publication of the results of the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Exam (JGGLCCE) 2023 until further orders. The court directed that the results should not be released until it issues further instructions.

The court instructed the state government to register an FIR under the Conduct of Examination Act 2023 based on complaints related to the JSSC CGL exam paper leak and to investigate and submit a report. This directive came in response to a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by Rajesh Kumar.

The next hearing for this case is scheduled for January 22, 2025.

Advocates Sanjoy Piparwal and Prince Kumar argued on behalf of JSSC, while senior advocate Ajit Kumar represented the petitioners.

A total of 2,231 candidates qualified in the JSSC-CGL Examination 2023. The document verification for these candidates was scheduled to take place from December 16 to December 20. On December 16, the documents of some candidates were verified, and verification was also scheduled for today. However, following the High Court’s order, the process has now been halted.
