Ranchi, Dec 19: The funds of the Maiya Samman Yojana are expected to be transferred into the accounts of beneficiary sisters before Christmas. This comes after the second supplementary budget received approval from Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Wednesday.

Following this, the Law Department issued a notification, and the Finance Department also released the necessary letter.

The Maiya Samman Yojana falls under the Department of Women, Child Development, and Social Security, which has sent the file for approval to the departmental minister. This department is overseen by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

As soon as the Chief Minister approves, funds will be transferred to the accounts of 55 lakh beneficiaries under the Maiya Yojana.

The Department of Women, Child Development, and Social Security has requested a date from the Chief Minister for the fund transfer. However, insider reports suggest that the funds are likely to be transferred into beneficiaries’ accounts before Christmas.

Notably, after Hemant Soren’s government was formed, a special session of the Assembly was convened. During that session, Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore presented a supplementary budget of ₹11,697.45 crore. Out of this, the Department of Women, Child Development, and Social Security received the highest allocation, amounting to ₹6,390.55 crore.
