Dhanbad, Jan 23: The Welfare Society paid heartfelt tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 128th birth anniversary by offering flowers and garlanding his statue on NH-32 at Naya Bazar.
Social activist Bijay Jha was the chief guest at the event, where he paid rich tributes to Netaji, recalling his mission and vision for India’s independence. He urged the youth to follow Netaji’s ideals. “We must uphold his vision to strengthen our nation,” said Jha.

The function was also attended by several distinguished guests, including I.D. Paswan, former mining director of the state; BC Thakur, administrative officer and former president of the Jharkhand Olympic Association; Dr. U.S. Prasad, former head of the pediatrics department at PMCH; and Lov Kumar, officer in charge of Bank More Police Station, all of whom paid their respects to Netaji.
Welfare Society president Zubair Alam and general secretary Tarak Nath Das, while paying tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, emphasized that the need of the hour is to embrace his vision. They stated that following the path laid down by Netaji is the key to success in life.
A large number of people, including Champa Shah, Shilpi Ghosh, Irfan Alam, Rajesh Srivastava, Sanu Choudhary, Samir Sarkar, Rajiv Shah, Ravi Srivastava, Samim Akhtar, Laxman Prasad, and many children, were present at the occasion, joining in the tribute to the legendary freedom fighter.
