U.S. Embassy Emphasizes Strict Border Policies

The spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy stated that details about the deportation flight could not be shared. However, he emphasized on record that the United States is strictly enforcing its borders, tightening immigration laws, and deporting undocumented migrants. These actions, he added, send a clear message that illegal migration is not worth the risk.

Last month, India agreed to take back illegal immigrants from the United States. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar had stated that New Delhi is prepared for the “lawful return” of Indian citizens not only from the U.S. but from across the world.
