Amit Shah calls for ruthless action against terrorism, achieve zero infiltration in J&K

New Delhi, Feb 5: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday directed all security agencies to intensify the fight against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir with the goal of achieving zero infiltration.

According to reports, Shah chaired a high-level review meeting for the second consecutive day to assess the security situation in the Union Territory.

He stated that due to the Modi government’s continuous and coordinated efforts, the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir has weakened and the objective is to eradicate terrorism from its roots. He further said that the government, under Modi’s leadership, is committed to eliminating terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir.

The Union Home Minister made it clear that security agencies must take strict action against infiltration and terrorism with a ruthless approach. He emphasized the need for swift and firm measures to curb terror financing generated through drug trafficking.

Notably, the Home Minister conducted two consecutive review meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday with top officials from the Army, police, paramilitary forces, and other agencies to assess the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The review meetings were attended by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, DGP Nalin Prabhat, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and other senior officials from the Army, police, and civil administration.
