Jharkhand News: Shruti Natak Festival showcases theatrical excellence in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Feb 10: The second day of the two-day Shruti Natak Festival organized by Amal Sangh Club witnessed spectacular theatrical performances.

The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest, yoga expert and President of the World Fitness Federation of Yogasana, Anshu Sarkar. Along with him, Amal Sangh President Samant Kumar and General Secretary Sandeep Sinha Chaudhary inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. The club honored the guests with shawls, floral bouquets, and mementos.

Anshu Sarkar expressed pride in being a Bengali speaker and emphasized that culture is their heritage. He stated that this festival is a significant step towards promoting the rich tradition of Shruti Natak and providing a platform for theater enthusiasts to showcase their talent.

This initiative aims to offer a stage to local talents and further popularize the art form of Shruti Natak. The event was hosted by Iti Banerjee, who warmly welcomed all the audience members.

A total of five plays were staged during the event, mesmerizing the spectators with their unique presentations. The featured plays were: “Ghater Kotha” – Presented by Jamshedpur Cultural Organization, directed by Shiv Prasad Banerjee. “Bheem Geeta” – Performed by Saurav Sanstha of Parsudih Pramath Nagar, directed by Sujit Mukherjee. “Dampatya” – Staged by Bengal Club, directed by Rashmi Chaudhary. “Jagatjanani Maa Sharada” – Presented by Telco Sabuj Kalyan Sangh, directed by Pradeep Ghoshal. Final Presentation – Staged by Taj – “Bhalobasar Satkahon”, directed by Tushar Dasgupta.

At the end of the event, all the directors and artists were honored with mementos. The festival’s success was made possible due to the contributions of Club President Samant Kumar, General Secretary Sandeep Sinha Chaudhary, Shyamal Sheel, Vishwanath Gupta, Sushmita Ganguly, Samp Dasgupta, Hemant, Iti Sengupta, Tarun Biswas, Manoranjan Sarkar, Vishu Shur, Badal Patra, Shubham Sarkar, Alok Dutta, and many other members.

This festival not only celebrated the art of Shruti Natak but also strengthened the cultural fabric of the community, ensuring that theatrical traditions continue to flourish and inspire future generations.
